Alfredo Rodriguez

 

Alfredo has been a part of Learnovation®, LLC since 2008, in the role of Chief Information Officer.  Alfredo coordinates information technology-related advancements and collaborates with the administrative units that advance Learnovation®, LLC ’s  information technology direction.  He brings his strengths in management and planning to the challenges of identifying new opportunities.  His international perspective and research skills provide new directions for Learnovation®, LLC.


Management
Alfredo began his career in Citibank’s IT operations, overseeing bank data processing procedures. With his degree in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Puerto Rico, he advanced into the management arena at FirstBank as the IT manager. He has architect-level experience in providing technology solutions for banking software needs. Alfredo has a proven track record of solid leadership skills, and the ability to direct and motivate staff with integrity and ethics. He managed a staff of 40 people, coordinating team efforts to ensure the efficiency, quality, and timeliness of the general operation of his department. Alfredo has the ability to see the big picture, identify issues, and execute solutions with a focus on clear, realistic action steps and timelines. In 1996, Alfredo returned to the University of Puerto Rico to expand his skills in economic planning.

Database Design and Architecture
Alfredo is a proficient developer and has worked with both mainframe and SQL servers. He has extensive experience with the components of Internet banking, including online bill pay, loan applications and call center management. Since the early 90’s he has worked in the field of consulting on database design and management. Based on his banking operation experience, he is able to bridge the gap between software development and customer and back office applications.

Consulting
In 1994, Alfredo and Michael Peterson joined together to create their own consulting firm- PRM, Inc.,  working with multiple organizations to impact operations through software integration and development. Alfredo is fluent in both English and Spanish, and this allowed them to develop a wide domestic and Caribbean client base. Alfredo brings solid management skills to the table and has experience with equipment evaluation, staff resource allocation, process and workflow improvements, project management, and balancing the needs of employees, company, and clients. He is skilled at interacting with senior management to assure communication and resolve complex issues, and influences enterprise technology architecture policies, standards, and processes. Alfredo has experience with company restructuring and buyouts, software and hardware acquisitions, and managing and evaluating development timelines.

Research
Alfredo combines his knowledge of software operations with strong research skills he has the ability to analyze and bring together research from different fields and applies them to business situations in unique and different ways. He uses ultamedia to bring together our unique software applications and innovations, and bridge the gap with staffing, tools, and technologies. He is skilled at defining business requests, problems, and identifying strategies and tactics to provide solutions.  

Personal Ventures
With a home base in Puerto Rico, Alfredo has a passion for coffee, and owns a coffee plantation. He enjoys traveling and oversees the international marketing of his coffee. In the last few years he has expanded his operations by opening several successful coffee shops in China.
